FDP on Pervasive and Mobile Computing
“Electronics & ICT Academy” is being set up at NIT Warangal with financial assistance from DeitY, MCIT, GoI. This academy role is to offer faculty development programmes in standardized courses and emerging areas of Electronics, Information Communication Technologies; training & consultancy services for Industry; Curriculum development for Industry; CEP for working professionals; Advice and support for technical incubation and entrepreneurial activities.
In recent years, we have witnessed a rapid development on pervasive and mobile computing technologies which have a significant impact on our lifestyles and the way we run our businesses. The impact of technologies on our lifestyle is due to the tremendous advances in a broad spectrum of technologies and topics, including wireless networking, Internet of Things, mobile and pervasive computing. To support the proliferation of smart end-user equipment, it is necessary to improve the state-of-the-art technologies in mobile computing to achieve a high quality-of-experience (QoE) for end-users.
This faculty development programme (FDP) is devoted to fundamental theory, recent developments and research outcomes addressing the related theoretical and practical aspects on pervasive and mobile computing.
Eligibility
The programme is open to the teachers of engineering colleges, MCA colleges and other allied disciplines. Industry personnel working in the concerned/allied discipline can also attend.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be done based on first-cum-first-serve basis and the confirmed candidates will be notified immediately. The maximum number of participants will be 50 (fifty). Additionally 10 participants from industry are allowed to participate. The list of selected participants will be notified through personal e-mail ids of the registered participants. In case a candidate is not selected, the demand draft will be sent back. Candidates will be issued certificates on successful completion of the course along with grade.
The participants need to send a crossed demand draft(DD) drawn in favour of “Director, NIT Warangal” and payable at SBH, NIT Warangal branch.
Scanned copy of the filled in application form in the prescribed format duly signed and sponsored by appropriate authorities (along with demand draft) should be mailed to techevents.cse@gmail.com. It is also mandatory to submit the hard copy of application form and demand draft at the registration desk during the inauguration of the event.
Free Accommodation (shared) and Boarding will be provided to all selected participants.

All the selected participants will be provided free accommodation and Boarding in the institute guest house/international hostel. No TA/DA will be paid for the participants.
